A new single storey replacement dwelling that plays homage to the residing artist's passion for Welsh tabernacles.

The design incorporates vaulted internal spaces that maximise the volume made available through the tried and tested vernacular form. The light, warm and airy spaces create a juxtaposition to the cold rugged black profiled metal employed externally to deal with the harsh Welsh weather. Large roof lights further accentuate this materialistic contrast, flooding the the warm raw plaster spaces with light.

Adjoining the single storey two bedroom home is the artist's home studio - linked through a covered porch. This space serves as a sanctuary for the artist, allowing him to immerse himself in his art while enjoying the breathtaking Welsh landscape.
