Home office and garden room near Brecon

We are delighted to have been given the go ahead to design a home office and flexible garden room, near Brecon.

Currently, an ancillary outbuilding stands on the site, and this will be repurposed and reused to form a contemporary home office and garden room for our client.  The architecture responds to the topography of the site in both plan and section. The roof shape ensures the building will enjoy un-obstructed views of the Pen-Y-Fan with direct access to the garden and river meandering past which historically serviced the neighbouring converted water mill (client's home).

Expansive glazing allows a seamless transition between internal and external spaces whilst also facilitating passive solar gain, a green 'gull' wing roof helps to soften the building into it's landscape and accentuates views whilst also providing natural solar shading to prevent overheating through-out the summer months.

One to watch moving forward!
